CDL Instructor

Werner Enterprises is searching for an experienced CDL Instructor who can effectively prepare students to meet the highest standards of safety, skill, and performance. This role requires a passionate and knowledgeable professional who can instill a safe and courteous driving attitude in each student. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the commercial driving industry and a commitment to improving the performance of each student. If you are a dedicated professional with a knack for teaching and mentoring, we would love to hear from you!To be considered for this position, you must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) and at least five years of experience in trucking and/or training. The successful candidate will also have the ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills, and an ability to work with a diverse group of students. Experience as a driver trainer is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare students to meet the highest standards of safety, skill, and performance.
2. Instill a safe and courteous driving attitude in each student.
3. Provide mentoring and guidance to students.
4. Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
5. Utilize multi-tasking and excellent communication skills to work with a diverse group of students.
6. Adapt teaching methods to the needs of each student.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the commercial driving industry.
8. Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
9. Evaluate student performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
10. Create lesson plans and course materials.
