  1. Teach courses in clinical mental health counseling to undergraduate and graduate students.
  2. Provide mentorship and guidance to students in the program.
  3. Develop and update course curriculum to ensure alignment with current industry standards and best practices.
  4. Conduct research and publish scholarly work in the field of clinical mental health counseling.
  5. Participate in program development and evaluation processes.
  6. Provide academic advising and support to students.
  7. Collaborate with other faculty members in the department to promote a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  8. Serve on departmental and university committees as assigned.
  9. Stay current with advancements and changes in the field of clinical mental health counseling.

  12. Serve as a role model and mentor to students, demonstrating professionalism and ethical behavior.
  13. Participate in recruitment and retention efforts to attract and retain top-quality students.
  14. Communicate regularly with students, colleagues, and university administration.
  15. Adhere to all university policies and procedures.
  16. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all aspects of the job.
  17. Represent the university and the clinical mental health counseling program at professional conferences and events.
  18. Contribute to the overall success and growth of the clinical mental health counseling program at Western Kentucky University.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Counseling Or A Related Field.

  • State Licensure Or Eligibility For Licensure As A Clinical Mental Health Counselor.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In The Mental Health Field.

  • Previous Teaching Experience In A University Setting.

  • Demonstrated Knowledge And Experience In The Field Of Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Including Current Best Practices And Ethical Standards.
