  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive global communications strategy that aligns with Western Union's overall business objectives and enhances the company's brand reputation.
  2. Oversee all aspects of internal and external communications, including media relations, public relations, crisis communication, executive communications, and digital and social media strategies.
  3. Proactively identify and cultivate relationships with key media outlets, influencers, and stakeholders to ensure positive coverage and messaging for Western Union.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of messaging and consistency in communication across all channels and platforms.
  5. Lead and mentor a team of communication professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support to drive high performance and achieve departmental goals.
  6. Monitor and analyze global media trends and industry developments to identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities for Western Union's communication strategy.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including executives and department heads, to ensure effective communication and alignment with business initiatives.
  8. Serve as a spokesperson for the company, providing clear and concise messaging to external audiences and representing Western Union in a professional and positive manner.
  9. Oversee the development of compelling and engaging content, including press releases, speeches, presentations, and other materials, to support key communication initiatives.
  10. Manage the communications budget and resources effectively to maximize ROI and ensure the successful execution of communication plans.
  11. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in communication to continuously improve Western Union's communication strategies and tactics.
  12. Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to support communication initiatives and ensure the delivery of high-quality services and results.
  13. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the communications team and across the organization.
  14. Represent Western Union at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements to promote the company's brand and thought leadership in the global financial services industry.
  15. Continuously evaluate and measure the effectiveness of communication efforts and make recommendations for improvements to drive business growth and enhance the company's reputation

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Communications, Marketing, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In A Global Communications Leadership Role.

  • Strong Understanding Of Global Markets And Cultural Nuances, With Experience Working In Multiple Regions.

  • Demonstrated Success In Developing And Executing Strategic Communication Plans That Align With Business Objectives.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Diverse Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization.
