1. Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect the university's digital assets.
2. Monitor and analyze network traffic and system logs to identify potential security risks and threats.
3. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address any weaknesses in the university's systems.
4. Collaborate with other departments and university stakeholders to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
5. Maintain and update security systems and software to protect against emerging threats.
6. Respond to and investigate security incidents, and provide timely and accurate reports to management.
7. Conduct security awareness training for faculty, staff, and students to promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
8. Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends and developments, and continuously seek opportunities to improve the university's security posture.
9. Work closely with IT teams to implement and enforce security best practices across the university's network and systems.
10. Participate in security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
11. Maintain documentation of security procedures, incident response plans, and other relevant information.
12. Serve as a point of contact for any cybersecurity-related inquiries or concerns from university stakeholders.
13. Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure the security of any third-party systems or services used by the university.
14. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to security incidents outside of regular business hours, as needed.
