Job Description

The Western Washington University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is searching for an experienced individual to lead our team as the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary qualifications to lead our program at the highest level, while also demonstrating a strong commitment to fostering a positive environment for all student-athletes. The Director of Intercollegiate Athletics is responsible for managing the overall operations of the department. This position requires a combination of strategic vision, leadership, and administrative skills to ensure the success of our athletic program. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a successful intercollegiate athletics program and oversee the day-to-day operations.Required qualifications for this position include a minimum of five years of experience in intercollegiate athletics administration, a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, and a commitment to the Western Washington University mission and values. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The successful candidate will also have the ability to foster a positive, inclusive culture in the workplace, and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
