- Ensure the safety and well-being of students, faculty, and staff at all times.
- Monitor and patrol campus grounds to identify and address potential safety hazards.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate assistance as needed.
- Enforce campus safety policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services to coordinate responses to incidents.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and make recommendations for improvements.
- Provide training to campus community members on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of all incidents and activities.
- Serve as a visible and approachable presence on campus, promoting a sense of safety and security.
- Respond to and resolve any conflicts or disputes in a professional and timely manner.
- Remain up-to-date on current safety practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other campus departments to promote a safe and inclusive environment for all.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Campus Safety.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Law Enforcement Or Security Work, Preferably In A Campus Setting.
Knowledge Of Safety And Security Protocols And Procedures, Including Emergency Response And Crisis Management.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Students, Faculty, And Staff.
Ability To Make Quick And Sound Decisions In High-Pressure Situations.
Physical Fitness And Ability To Maintain Composure And Handle Physically Demanding Tasks, Such As Patrolling On Foot, Responding To Disturbances, And Assisting With Medical Emergencies.
