
Certifications Compliance Program Manager

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all relevant certifications and compliance standards for products sold at Whole Foods Market.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and third-party certifiers to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Act as the main point of contact for all certification and compliance related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the certification process for new and existing products, including coordinating audits, maintaining necessary documentation, and addressing any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all products meet or exceed safety and quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations to proactively identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Conduct regular internal audits to monitor and maintain compliance with certifications and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to ensure understanding and adherence to certification and compliance standards.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors to ensure that all products and ingredients meet our standards for safety, quality, and sustainability.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the certifications and compliance program, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports related to certifications and compliance.
- Represent Whole Foods Market in external meetings and events related to certifications and compliance.
- Support the company’s commitment to sustainability by promoting the use of environmentally-friendly and ethical products.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in certifications and compliance throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes, procedures, and systems to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the certifications and compliance program.
Extensive Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations: The Certifications Compliance Program Manager Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Food Safety And Organic Certification Standards, As Well As Other Relevant Regulations For The Food Industry.
