APRN - Wound Care

Yale New Haven Health System is seeking an experienced, compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our Wound Care team. We are looking for an individual with the knowledge and experience to diagnose, treat, and manage complex wounds, as well as provide education and support for patients and families. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with other medical professionals.The APRN - Wound Care will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment and management of wounds, including planning and implementation of treatment plans. The selected candidate must be able to evaluate and document complex wound care needs, perform wound care procedures, and recognize and intervene in emergency situations. The successful applicant will also provide patient and family education regarding wound care and treatment options.Required Qualifications:• Current Connecticut APRN licensure• Master's of Science in Nursing or other related field• Three years of experience in wound care or related field• Demonstrated clinical expertise in wound care• Knowledge of evidence-based practice and wound care guidelines• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to maintain a professional and empathetic approach to patient care
