  1. Provide pediatric critical care during air ambulance transport for critically ill and injured pediatric patients.
  2. Utilize advanced skills and knowledge to provide life-saving care.
  3. Assess and monitor patients' conditions, identify any changes, and take necessary actions.
  4. Collaborate with fellow paramedics, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.
  5. Administer medications and perform advanced procedures as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Paramedic Certification And Licensure: A Pediatric Critical Care Flight Paramedic At Yale New Haven Health System Must Possess A Valid Paramedic Certification And Maintain An Active License In The State Of Connecticut.

  • Advanced Pediatric Life Support (Apls) Certification: This Specialty Certification Focuses On Advanced Life Support Techniques Specific To Pediatric Patients, Making It A Crucial Qualification For A Pediatric Critical Care Flight Paramedic.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Critical Care Transport: Yale New Haven Health System Requires Candidates To Have At Least 3 Years Of Experience As A Paramedic, With A Focus On Pediatric Critical Care Transport. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Solid Foundation In Treating And Transporting Critically Ill Pediatric Patients.
