As a key member of our Tax department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with international tax laws and regulations, as well as developing and implementing strategies to optimize our global tax structure.   1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of U.S. international tax laws and regulations.
  2. Ensure compliance with all applicable international tax laws and regulations.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement tax planning strategies.
  4. Analyze and interpret complex tax laws and regulations to provide guidance and recommendations to the company.
  5. Manage and review international tax filings and disclosures to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  6. Monitor changes in international tax laws and regulations and make recommendations for adjustments to tax strategies.
  7. Communicate and coordinate with external advisors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
  8. Participate in internal audits and assist with tax audits by government authorities.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure understanding of tax implications of business decisions.
  10. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline international tax compliance and reporting.
  11. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in international taxation.
  12. Collaborate with global teams to provide guidance and support on international tax matters.
  13. Prepare and present reports and presentations to senior management on international tax matters.
  14. Ensure all tax activities are in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  15. Mentor and train junior team members on international tax matters.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance: A Strong Foundation In Accounting And Finance Is Essential For A U.s. International Tax Specialist At 3M. A Bachelor's Degree In These Fields Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Understand Complex Tax Laws And Regulations.

  • Cpa Or Enrolled Agent Certification: 3M May Require Candidates For The U.s. International Tax Specialist Job To Have A Cpa Or Enrolled Agent (Ea) Certification. These Credentials Demonstrate Expertise In Tax Compliance And Planning, Which Are Crucial For This Role.

  • Experience In International Taxation: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In International Taxation Is Typically Required For A U.s. International Tax Specialist At 3M. This Could Include Experience In Cross-Border Transactions, Transfer Pricing, And/Or Tax Planning For Multinational Corporations.

  • Knowledge Of U.s. Tax Laws And Regulations: A Thorough Understanding Of U.s. Tax Laws And Regulations Is A Must For A U.s. International Tax Specialist At 3M. This Includes Familiarity With The Internal Revenue Code, Tax Treaties, And Other Relevant Tax Laws And Regulations.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A U.s. International Tax Specialist, You Will Be Required To Analyze Complex Tax Issues And Develop Solutions To Minimize 3M's Tax Liability. Therefore, Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills Are Essential For This Job.
