- Maintain accurate inventory levels by regularly conducting stock counts and comparing them to existing records.
- Receive and process incoming shipments of merchandise, ensuring all items are accurately logged and stored.
- Organize and maintain the stock room to ensure efficient and orderly storage of merchandise.
- Monitor and track inventory levels to identify low stock or overstock situations and communicate with management to resolve any issues.
- Assist with restocking sales floor and setting up displays to showcase merchandise.
- Collaborate with sales associates to fulfill customer orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Handle customer inquiries related to stock availability and assist with locating items in store.
- Accurately label and price merchandise according to company guidelines.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to improve stock management processes and suggest ideas for enhancing efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including security measures and cash handling.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to management in a timely manner.
- Continuously update and maintain product knowledge to assist customers with inquiries.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by management.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Stock Associate At Ashley Furniture Industries Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge Necessary For The Job.
Previous Retail Or Inventory Experience: Previous Experience Working In A Retail Environment Or Managing Inventory Is Preferred For A Stock Associate Role. This Demonstrates An Understanding Of The Retail Industry And The Ability To Manage Stock Effectively.
