Job Description

At Aviva, we are looking for a Compliance Officer who is passionate about upholding integrity and ensuring that our business activities remain compliant with the relevant laws and regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive risk-based compliance program.To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, as well as a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a compliance role. Moreover, you should have a comprehensive understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and the ability to identify and assess potential risk areas. A thorough knowledge of the financial services industry and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be essential.If you are an enthusiastic and proactive professional with a commitment to staying up to date with and implementing the latest compliance standards, then we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk-based compliance program in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Monitor all internal and external stakeholders and ensure they are compliant with the applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Identify and assess potential risk areas related to compliance and develop mitigating strategies to address them.
  4. Conduct periodic reviews to ensure that the compliance program is effective and up to date.
  5. Provide training and guidance to staff, as needed, on regulatory compliance requirements.
  6. Ensure that all reports and filings related to compliance are submitted in a timely manner.
  7. Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulators and other external stakeholders.
  8. Ensure that all policies and procedures related to compliance are up to date and properly communicated.
  9. Monitor changes in the regulatory environment and ensure that the compliance program is adapted accordingly.
  10. Prepare reports to senior management on the status of the compliance program and any potential areas of risk.
