Job Description

Baptist Health (Kentucky) is looking for an experienced, compassionate Chaplain PRN to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing spiritual care to our patients and their families. We’re looking for a person with a heart for ministry, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must have an understanding of the spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff and an ability to connect with people of all backgrounds and spiritual beliefs. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide spiritual care and counseling to patients and their families.
  2. Establish special programs and activities to meet the spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff.
  3. Build relationships with people of all backgrounds and spiritual beliefs.
  4. Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Provide support and resources to families and staff during difficult times.
  6. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and guidelines.
  7. Monitor patient and family progress and provide necessary follow-up services.
  8. Create and lead spiritual services as needed.
  9. Participate in continuing education and training programs.
  10. Participate in spiritual care team meetings.
