Emergency Department ER Technician

Baptist Health is the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Kentucky and we are currently seeking a dynamic and compassionate ER Technician to join our team in Louisville.In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective patient care services to the Emergency Department, under the direction of the RN and/or physician. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated health professionals who are passionate about providing the best care to our patients.To be successful in this role, you must be a certified/registered EMT-I or EMT-P in the state of Kentucky with a minimum of two years’ experience in an emergency department setting. You must have a strong commitment to patient care and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:

1. Provide efficient and effective patient care services to the Emergency Department, under the direction of the RN and/or physician.
2. Maintain certification/registration as an EMT-I or EMT-P in the state of Kentucky.
3. Ensure that all patient care is provided in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
4. Maintain a professional demeanor and display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Monitor and document patient condition during treatment and provide appropriate care.
6. Respond to emergency situations and provide care in a timely manner.
7. Assist with patient transport as needed.
8. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of Emergency Department equipment.
9. Participate in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
10. Remain current on all relevant Emergency Department regulations and procedures.
