We are currently seeking a highly qualified and passionate EMS Director to join our team and lead our Emergency Medical Services operations. As the EMS Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of quality care to our patients in emergency situations.   1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the EMS department, in alignment with the overall goals and objectives of Baptist Health.
  2. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the EMS department, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting.
  3. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards related to emergency medical services.
  4. Recruit, train, and supervise EMS staff, including paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs).
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, such as fire departments and law enforcement agencies, to ensure seamless coordination during emergency situations.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided by the EMS department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  7. Collaborate with other departments within Baptist Health to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to emergency care.
  8. Stay current on industry trends and advancements in emergency medical services, and make recommendations for the adoption of new technologies and best practices.
  9. Serve as a liaison between the EMS department and hospital administration, providing regular updates and reports on department performance.
  10. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the EMS department, promoting teamwork and professional development.
  11. Act as a role model for ethical and compassionate behavior, in line with Baptist Health's mission and values.
  12. Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness of the EMS department and its services.
  13. Handle any emergency situations or crises that may arise within the EMS department, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
  14. Represent Baptist Health at industry conferences and events, sharing knowledge and promoting the organization's brand and reputation.
  15. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to the EMS department, including incident reports and patient data.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Medical Services (Ems) Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Ems Or A Related Field Is Essential For An Ems Director At Baptist Health. This Degree Provides A Solid Foundation Of Knowledge And Skills Needed To Lead And Manage Emergency Medical Services.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Ems Management: Baptist Health Requires Candidates For The Ems Director Position To Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Ems Management. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Effectively Lead And Oversee Ems Operations.
