- Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency calls and provide immediate medical assistance to patients in need.
- Perform triage, assess patient's condition and provide appropriate treatment and care in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and document all interventions and treatment provided.
- Operate and maintain all equipment and supplies on the ambulance in a safe and effective manner.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and emergency responders to ensure seamless patient care and transfer.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other team members to provide clear and concise information about the patient's condition and treatment plan.
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe working environment for both patients and staff.
- Remain updated on current practices and techniques in emergency medical services and attend training and continuing education programs as required.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, their families, and the community.
- Maintain a clean and organized ambulance, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are stocked and readily available.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Take initiative in emergency situations and make quick and informed decisions to provide the best possible care to patients.
- Adhere to Baptist Health's mission, vision, and values, and represent the organization positively in all interactions.

Current Emt Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Emt Certification From The State Of Kentucky Or Be Eligible For Reciprocity. This Certification Must Be Maintained Throughout Employment.
Cpr/Bls Certification: The Candidate Must Have A Current Cpr/Bls Certification From The American Heart Association Or The American Red Cross. This Certification Must Be Maintained Throughout Employment.
Valid Driver's License: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Driver's License And Have A Clean Driving Record. They Must Also Be Able To Pass A Driving Test And Operate An Ambulance Safely In Emergency Situations.
Physical Fitness: The Candidate Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Lift And Carry Heavy Equipment And Patients. They Must Also Be Able To Perform Physically Demanding Tasks For Extended Periods Of Time.
Knowledge Of Emergency Medical Services: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Emergency Medical Procedures And Protocols, As Well As Knowledge Of Medical Equipment And Medications. They Must Also Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Other Healthcare Professionals In High-Stress Situations.
