Job Description

At Baptist Health (Kentucky), we are looking for an experienced Nursing Assistant 4G to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering quality healthcare services and be committed to providing excellent patient care.To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of two years of clinical experience in a hospital setting as a nursing assistant. You must also possess current certification from the Kentucky Board of Nursing. Your responsibilities will include providing direct patient care, performing basic nursing procedures, and assisting other medical staff. You will need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, be able to work well in a team environment, and have a commitment to patient safety. Additionally, you should be knowledgeable of medical terminology and procedures, have strong critical thinking abilities, and be able to manage multiple tasks. Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Perform basic nursing procedures such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and changing dressings
  • Assist medical staff with tasks such as collecting specimens and preparing patients for examinations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Ensure patient safety by following safety protocols
  • Communicate effectively with other medical personnel and patients
  • Have strong critical thinking skills to make decisions quickly and accurately
  • Manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately
  • Be knowledgeable of medical terminology and procedures
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor and strong work ethic
