  1. Coordinate patient access to behavioral health services: The primary responsibility of the Patient Access Coordinator will be to ensure that patients seeking behavioral health services are able to access them in a timely and appropriate manner.
  2. Maintain patient records and documentation: The Coordinator will be responsible for accurately documenting patient information and maintaining patient records in accordance with organizational guidelines.
  3. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow: The Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling appointments for patients and managing patient flow in the behavioral health department.
  4. Respond to patient inquiries and concerns: The Coordinator will serve as a point of contact for patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have and providing them with necessary information.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals: The Coordinator will work closely with healthcare professionals in the behavioral health department to ensure seamless patient care and efficient service delivery.
  6. Verify insurance coverage and assist with financial arrangements: The Coordinator will be responsible for verifying patients' insurance coverage and assisting them with financial arrangements for their treatment.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations: The Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all privacy regulations in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  8. Provide excellent customer service: The Coordinator will be expected to provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring a positive experience throughout their interactions with the behavioral health department.
  9. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices: The Coordinator will be expected to stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to patient access and behavioral health services.
  10. Contribute to team meetings and initiatives: The Coordinator will participate in team meetings and may be responsible for contributing to departmental initiatives to improve patient care and service delivery.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Behavioral Health Or Mental Health Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Insurance Verification Processes.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals.

  • Ability To Multitask, Prioritize, And Problem Solve In A Fast-Paced Environment.
