- Safely and efficiently transport patients throughout our facilities, including to and from their rooms and various departments.
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families during transportation.
- Maintain a welcoming and friendly attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while transporting patients, including proper use of equipment and following infection control guidelines.
- Keep accurate records of patient transportation, including documenting any issues or incidents.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare team members to ensure timely and appropriate patient transportation.
- Assist with lifting, transferring, and positioning patients as needed, using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient transport equipment and supplies.
- Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
- Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and experience through exceptional service and support.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure a positive and seamless patient experience.
- Assist in other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Patient Transporter Position At Baptist Health Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Understand And Follow Instructions.
Customer Service Skills: As A Patient Transporter, You Will Be Interacting With Patients, Their Families, And Healthcare Staff On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Having Excellent Customer Service Skills, Such As Empathy, Patience, And Communication, Is Crucial For This Role.
Physical Fitness: A Patient Transporter Job At Baptist Health May Require Frequent Lifting, Pushing, And Pulling Of Patients In Wheelchairs Or Stretchers. Therefore, Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks Without Putting Themselves Or The Patient At Risk.
