Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our PRN team at Baptist Health (Kentucky). In this role, you will use your expertise to provide quality occupational therapy services to our patients. The ideal candidate has a strong background in occupational therapy and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best care for our patients. This is a great opportunity for an experienced OT to join a fast-paced and rewarding environment.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field and be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Kentucky. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience in an acute care setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a patient-focused approach, and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities:

  1. Assess patient needs and develop/implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  2. Educate patients and family members on how to carry out and manage therapy programs.
  3. Monitor patient progress and document results.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best care for patients.
  5. Utilize evidence-based practice and current research to develop therapeutic interventions.
  6. Adapt treatment approaches to meet the individual needs of each patient.
  7. Maintain professional relationships and communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  8. Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices.
  9. Manage patient care activities within the scope of practice and in accordance with professional standards.
  10. Maintain patient records and other administrative duties.
