Job Description

We are currently seeking a PRN Registered Nurse with specialized training in Wound Care to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise and compassion to help patients heal from various types of wounds.   1. Provide exceptional wound care services to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards of care.
  2. Assess patient wounds and develop individualized treatment plans to promote healing and prevent infection.
  3. Administer wound care treatments, including wound dressing changes, debridement, and wound vac therapy.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress, including wound healing and response to treatment.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
  6. Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques and proper wound care management at home.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  9. Stay current on the latest advancements in wound care treatments and techniques.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  11. Serve as a professional and compassionate advocate for patients and their families.
  12. Maintain a positive and supportive work environment for colleagues and contribute to a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  13. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
  14. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain necessary certifications and licenses.
  15. Represent Baptist Health in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License In The State Of Kentucky

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Wound Care Nursing

  • Certification In Wound Care, Such As Wound, Ostomy, And Continence Nursing (Wocn) Or Certified Wound Care Nurse (Cwcn)

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Wound Care Protocols And Procedures

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Collaborating With Interdisciplinary Team Members And Educating Patients On Wound Care Management And Prevention.
