- Conducting skin assessments and documenting patient information accurately.
- Assisting dermatologists with procedures, including biopsies and surgeries.
- Preparing and maintaining examination and treatment rooms.
- Educating patients on proper skincare, medication usage, and follow-up care instructions.
- Administering and documenting treatments, such as topical medications and light therapy.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Ordering and restocking medical supplies and equipment.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Scheduling patient appointments and managing patient records.

Education And Certification: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required, As Well As Certification As A Dermatology Technician From An Accredited Program.
Experience: At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Dermatology Clinic Or Medical Setting Is Preferred. This Includes Experience With Various Dermatology Procedures And Equipment.
Knowledge Of Dermatology Procedures: Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Dermatology Procedures, Including Skin Cancer Screenings, Biopsies, And Cosmetic Treatments. Knowledge Of Different Skin Types, Conditions, And Disorders Is Also Required.
Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role. The Dermatology Technician Will Be Interacting With Patients Of All Ages, As Well As Other Healthcare Professionals, So Being Able To Communicate Effectively And Empathetically Is Crucial.
Attention To Detail: As A Dermatology Technician, Attention To Detail Is Critical. The Ability To Accurately Document Patient Information, Follow Precise Protocols, And Maintain A Clean And Organized Workspace Is Essential For Providing Quality Care To Patients.
