Medical Assistant - Gastroenterology

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join the Gastroenterology team at Billings Clinic. This is an outstanding opportunity to be a part of a well-established and highly respected medical team and to provide excellent care to our patients. In this role, you will assist our providers with direct patient care, patient education, and administrative duties. This is a full-time position based in Billings, MT.To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting. You must also have a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed a Medical Assistant course or have the equivalent experience. Responsibilities:

1. Assist providers with direct patient care, patient education, and administrative duties.
2. Maintain a positive attitude and ensure patient satisfaction.
3. Ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork and documentation.
4. Follow safety protocols and healthcare regulations.
5. Prepare and maintain patient records.
6. Perform vital signs checks, EKG’s, and other clinical tasks as directed.
7. Maintain medical equipment and supplies.
8. Provide patient education and answer questions as needed.
9. Schedule appointments and coordinate with other departments.
10. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other staff.
