Medical Assistant - General Surgery

We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our General Surgery team at Billings Clinic. The ideal candidate must be compassionate, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Our Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing support to our surgical staff and ensuring patients receive the best possible care and experience.The successful candidate will need to be a certified Medical Assistant with a minimum of two years of experience in a medical or surgical setting. They should be knowledgeable in medical terminology and possess excellent patient care skills. Responsibilities:

1. Greet patients and families and assist them with check-in procedures.
2. Ensure that medical records and patient information are kept confidential.
3. Take patient vital signs and enter information into the electronic health record.
4. Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and treatments.
5. Prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary supplies and equipment.
6. Administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
7. Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing.
8. Schedule appointments and perform other administrative duties as needed.
9. Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatments, and medications.
10. Monitor and record patient progress and follow-up on lab results and other tests.
11. Maintain a clean and organized medical office.
12. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
