- Conduct thorough research and analysis of power systems and transmission planning data to support the development of strategic plans for electric transmission systems.
- Collaborate with team of experts to identify and assess potential risks and opportunities in transmission planning projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions to meet their goals.
- Utilize industry knowledge and best practices to ensure the reliable and efficient delivery of electricity to communities across the country.
- Communicate complex technical information and data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in transmission planning to continuously improve processes and methodologies.
- Participate in meetings and presentations with clients to discuss project progress and provide recommendations.
- Work with a cross-functional team to coordinate project tasks and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Generate and review technical reports, proposals, and other project-related documentation.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to company values and standards while representing Burns & McDonnell and 1898 & Co. to clients and stakeholders.
Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Engineering Is Crucial For A Transmission Planning Consultant Role At Burns & Mcdonnell. A Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or A Related Field Provides The Necessary Foundation For Understanding The Complexities Of The Transmission Planning Industry.
Professional Experience In Transmission Planning: Previous Experience In Transmission Planning Is A Must-Have Qualification For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Transmission Planning Or Related Fields, Preferably In The Power Industry.
Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Standards: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Industry Regulations And Standards Related To Transmission Planning. This Includes Knowledge Of Nerc, Ferc, And Regional Transmission Planning Processes.
