Job Description

BuzzFeed Tasty is seeking an experienced video professional who can consistently bring strong ideas to the table and creatively execute on them in a timely manner and within budget. You'll develop, produce, direct and appear in Tasty YouTube content and other platforms, as necessary. Create, produce, direct, film and appear in Tasty content and shows. Make creative, fun, and social-driven food shows that people will like and share across our platforms Brainstorm and pitch opportunities for original videos. From brainstorming to on-schedule asset delivery, deliver videos that drive views and engagement on social media channels. Be genuinely excited about appearing in content and developing formats and frames tied to your unique POV. Research and write scripts; develop treatments, shot lists, and breakdowns as necessary. Manage production queue, asset delivery, and upload across content management tools including Google Sheets and Airtable. Analyze the results of your work to apply learnings to future productions, particularly with regard to audience response and performance metrics.

Job Qualifications

3-5 years of experience with video production and familiarity with DSLR cameras, lighting, editing, and audio recording.
3-5 years proven experience creating compelling food content for the web
Familiarity with DSLR cameras and accompanying lenses, understanding of 3-point lighting
A thorough understanding of digital video platforms and what makes content shareable
A positive and curious disposition and a genuine love for and excitement about food and social media
