- Prepare and assemble a variety of salads, appetizers, and desserts according to California Pizza Kitchen's recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food items are cooked, seasoned, and presented according to the guest's preferences and company's standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized pantry station, including refrigeration and storage areas.
- Monitor food inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager.
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
- Assist with receiving and inspecting ingredients for quality and freshness.
- Communicate with servers and other front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Continuously strive to improve skills and knowledge in food preparation techniques and menu items.
- Work efficiently and effectively under pressure to meet high volume and fast-paced kitchen demands.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including dress code and grooming standards.
- Communicate any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the kitchen manager.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests, team members, and management at all times.
- Complete all tasks and responsibilities assigned by the kitchen manager or shift leader.
- Attend and participate in all required training and meetings.
Culinary Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Professional Kitchen, Preferably In A Similar Role As A Pantry Cook.
Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation: Familiarity With Proper Food Handling, Storage, And Preparation Techniques To Maintain A Clean And Safe Kitchen Environment.
Attention To Detail: Ability To Accurately Follow Recipes And Plate Dishes According To California Pizza Kitchen's Standards, Ensuring Consistency And Quality In Every Dish.
Time Management Skills: Demonstrated Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment And Handle Multiple Tasks At Once, While Maintaining Efficiency And Meeting Deadlines.
Team Player Attitude: A Positive And Cooperative Attitude, Willing To Work Collaboratively With Other Kitchen Staff To Ensure A Smooth And Successful Service.
