  1. Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the security and privacy of customer information at all times.
  2. Maintain a thorough understanding of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance standards and ensure that all systems and processes are in alignment with these regulations.
  3. Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team is equipped to handle potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  5. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify any gaps in compliance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and developments, and implement best practices to protect against emerging threats.
  7. Monitor and analyze system logs and security events to identify and respond to any potential security breaches.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure all security measures are in place and compliant with industry standards.
  9. Communicate regularly with senior leadership to provide updates on cybersecurity initiatives, risks, and compliance status.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity and PCI compliance, providing guidance and recommendations to various departments within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Pci Dss Compliance: A Director Of Cybersecurity At Capital One Must Possess A Thorough Understanding Of The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (Pci Dss) And Its Requirements. This Includes Knowledge Of Data Encryption, Network Security, Access Controls, And Other Key Areas.

  • Experience In Managing Large-Scale Security Initiatives: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing Large-Scale Cybersecurity Projects, Particularly In The Payment Card Industry. This Includes Experience In Developing And Implementing Security Policies, Procedures, And Controls To Ensure Compliance With Industry Regulations.

  • Strong Technical Background: The Director Of Cybersecurity Should Have A Strong Technical Background In Areas Such As Network Security, Application Security, Data Protection, And Incident Response. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Evaluate And Implement Security Solutions And Strategies To Protect Capital One's Payment Card Infrastructure.

  • Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Senior Leadership Role, The Director Of Cybersecurity Must Possess Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Security Concepts To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders And Lead A Team Of Cybersecurity Professionals To Achieve Organizational Goals.

  • Industry Certifications: A Director Of Cybersecurity At Capital One Should Hold Relevant Industry Certifications Such As Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Cissp), Certified Information Security Manager (Cism), Or Payment Card Industry Professional (Pcip). These Certifications Demonstrate A Candidate's Knowledge And Expertise In The Payment Card Industry And Give Them A Competitive Edge In The Job Market.
