  1. Develop and implement data loss prevention strategies and policies to protect sensitive information and mitigate risk for the company.
  2. Lead and manage a team of engineers to ensure the effective execution of data loss prevention initiatives.
  3. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and gaps in data protection.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and IT, to ensure alignment of data loss prevention efforts with company policies and regulatory standards.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and advancements in data loss prevention techniques to continuously improve and enhance the company's data protection capabilities.
  6. Create and maintain documentation on data loss prevention processes, procedures, and standards.
  7. Utilize data loss prevention tools and technologies to monitor, detect, and respond to potential data breaches.
  8. Investigate and analyze data security incidents and provide recommendations for remediation and prevention.
  9. Develop and deliver training programs for employees on data protection policies and procedures.
  10. Prepare and present reports to senior management on the status of data loss prevention activities and the effectiveness of implemented measures.
  11. Serve as a subject matter expert on data loss prevention for the company, providing guidance and support to various teams and stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Data Loss Prevention Techniques And Technologies: This Includes Experience With Data Classification, Encryption, Access Controls, Data Masking, And Other Dlp Solutions.

  • Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Compliance Requirements: A Lead Dlp Engineer At Capital One Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Industry Regulations Such As Pci-Dss, Gdpr, And Hipaa, And Be Able To Implement And Maintain Dlp Solutions That Meet These Requirements.

  • Experience In Managing Dlp Projects: As A Lead Dlp Engineer, One Must Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Dlp Projects From Design To Implementation, While Adhering To Project Timelines And Budgets.

  • Technical Proficiency In Network And System Security: A Lead Dlp Engineer Should Have A Strong Background In Network And System Security, And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Resolve Complex Security Issues.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: In Addition To Technical Expertise, A Lead Dlp Engineer Must Possess Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Lead A Team Of Dlp Engineers To Achieve Project Goals.
