  1. Design and develop new features and enhancements for the Rewards & Loyalty Platform using cutting-edge technology.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  3. Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects.
  4. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure best practices and maintain code quality.
  5. Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
  6. Stay updated with industry trends and developments in technology to continuously improve the platform.
  7. Collaborate with product managers to define and prioritize product roadmap and backlog.
  8. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members.
  9. Ensure compliance with company coding standards, policies, and procedures.
  10. Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
  11. Communicate project updates and status to stakeholders, including senior management.
  12. Collaborate with other teams within the organization to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
  13. Drive innovation and suggest new ideas to improve the Rewards & Loyalty Platform and enhance the customer experience.
  14. Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the development process.
  15. Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Software Development: A Lead Software Engineer Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In Software Development, With A Strong Background In Back-End Technologies And Frameworks Such As Java, Python, Or Node.js.

  • Proven Track Record In Building Scalable And Reliable Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Designing, Building, And Maintaining Large-Scale Systems That Can Handle High Volumes Of Data And Transactions, While Ensuring High Availability And Performance.

  • Expertise In Rewards And Loyalty Platforms: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Rewards And Loyalty Platforms, Including The Latest Industry Trends And Best Practices. This Includes Knowledge Of Loyalty Program Design, Gamification, And Customer Engagement Strategies.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Lead Software Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Developers And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Experience With Cloud Technologies: Capital One Is Committed To Adopting Cloud Technologies, And The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Building And Deploying Applications On Cloud Platforms Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud. Knowledge Of Microservices Architecture And Containerization Technologies Like Docker And Kubernetes Is Also Preferred.
