Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and knowledgeable professional to join our team as the Director of State Government Affairs at Charter Communications. As the Director of State Government Affairs, you will be responsible for developing and executing government affairs and public policy strategies at the state and local level. The ideal candidate should have an excellent understanding of policy and legislative processes and be capable of developing meaningful relationships with key stakeholders.This position requires an individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, and the ability to collaborate with other departments to achieve our goals. To be successful, you must have a proven track record of success in the field of political/government affairs. Responsibilities:

• Developing and executing government affairs and public policy strategies at the state and local level. • Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. • Representing the organization at political and government affairs-related events. • Analyzing and interpreting policy and legislative processes. • Identifying opportunities to advance the organization’s objectives. • Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve organizational goals. • Preparing presentations, documents, and other materials for meetings, conferences, and other forums. • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of policies and programs. • Advising senior leadership on current and emerging political/government affairs issues. • Establishing and implementing communication plans to promote organizational objectives. • Developing and managing budgets for government affairs initiatives. • Training and supervising staff involved in government affairs activities.
