Clinic Receptionist

CHI St. Alexius Health is seeking a highly organized and customer-service oriented Clinic Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to think on their feet. To be successful in this role, you must be a team-player, have strong interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.The Clinic Receptionist will be responsible for providing an exceptional level of customer service to our patients, visitors, and staff. The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for our patients and will create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.Qualifications:• High School diploma or equivalent• Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment• Highly organized and detail-oriented• Proficiency with computer programs and applications• Ability to multitask and prioritize• Knowledge of medical terminology a plus

Responsibilities:

1. Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff to the clinic in a professional and friendly manner.
2. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
3. Schedule appointments and ensure accuracy of patient information in the system.
4. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
5. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
6. Manage patient registration and verify patient insurance information.
7. Maintain an organized and clean reception area.
8. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
9. Provide accurate and timely information about clinic services and procedures.
10. Monitor patient flow and manage patient wait times.
