Athletic Trainer I PRN

We are seeking an experienced Athletic Trainer I PRN to join our team at Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora, CO. In this role, you will provide preventative and rehabilitative athletic training services to patients and families in our Sports Medicine Program. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide the highest quality of care for our patients. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-motivated, compassionate individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training, a current state license, and be certified by the Board of Certification (BOC). Knowledge of basic medical terminology and experience working with youth and adolescents is preferred. Responsibilities:

1. Administer preventative and rehabilitative athletic training services to patients and families in the Sports Medicine Program.
2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide the highest quality of care for patients.
3. Maintain current state license and BOC certification.
4. Utilize knowledge of basic medical terminology to provide care and services.
5. Work with youth and adolescents to provide care and services.
6. Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
7. Follow hospital policies and procedures and adhere to ethical standards.
8. Maintain patient treatment records, properly document care provided, and develop care plans.
9. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
10. Monitor patients’ progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
