
Bereavement Coordinator
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Bereavement Coordinator to join our team at Children’s Hospital Colorado. This individual will be responsible for providing comfort and support to families during a difficult time. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to empathize with families. Our Bereavement Coordinator will need to have a master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field, as well as three years of experience working with bereavement and grief. Responsibilities of a Bereavement Coordinator:
- Provide emotional support and comfort to families during and after their loss.
- Develop and implement bereavement programs and services to meet the needs of families.
- Create personalized plans for each family to ensure their needs are met.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and resources to better serve families.
- Facilitate support groups, individual counseling, and other services for grieving families.
- Monitor progress of families and adjust services accordingly.
- Collaborate with hospital staff and other professionals to ensure families receive the best care possible.
- Document interactions with families and report outcomes.
- Stay abreast of current trends in bereavement and grief counseling.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Children’s Hospital Colorado.
