Child Life Specialist

This is an incredibly important role, as you will work with children and families in the hospital setting to help ease their stress and create a healing environment. We value the importance of this role and are looking for a compassionate, empathetic, and patient individual to join our team. To be considered for this role, you must have a bachelor’s degree in child life, child development, or a related field, at least two years of experience working with children in a hospital setting, and a certification in child life from the Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP). Responsibilities:

1. Provide emotional support to children and families in a hospital setting.
2. Help children and families cope with hospitalization and the hospital experience.
3. Facilitate play, activities, and other interventions to help children understand their medical experiences.
4. Educate children and families on medical procedures, treatments, and other hospital information.
5. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure the best care for children and families.
6. Participate in research and program evaluation activities.
7. Maintain a valid ACLP certification.
8. Attend relevant trainings, meetings, and conferences.
9. Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
