- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify and obtain missing or conflicting information in medical records.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines to accurately document patient conditions and treatments.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines related to clinical documentation.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of electronic medical record systems and utilize them to effectively document patient information.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and other team members to obtain necessary information and resolve documentation issues.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in documentation processes and provide recommendations to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry changes and updates related to clinical documentation and coding.
- Participate in training and education sessions to maintain and improve knowledge and skills.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the team and the organization.

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all activities and tasks performed.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Attend meetings and participate in projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.
Certification As A Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist (Ccds) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs).
3-5 Years Of Experience In Clinical Documentation Improvement Or Medical Coding.
Strong Knowledge Of Icd-10 Coding Guidelines And Cms Documentation Requirements.
Experience Working In A Pediatric Hospital Setting Or With Pediatric Patients Is Preferred.
