
Emergency Manager

- Develop and implement emergency management policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors during emergency situations.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and departments to create and maintain an effective emergency management plan.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential emergency situations and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Train and educate staff on emergency preparedness and response protocols, including evacuation procedures, disaster drills, and emergency communications.
- Work closely with local emergency response agencies and community partners to coordinate emergency response efforts.
- Monitor and maintain emergency equipment and supplies, ensuring they are up to date and in working order.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all emergency-related communication and provide regular updates to hospital leadership and staff.
- Conduct post-incident evaluations to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address any deficiencies.
- Stay current on emergency management best practices and industry standards, and make recommendations for updates and improvements to the hospital's emergency management plan.
- Act as a liaison between Children's Hospital Colorado and external agencies, such as local, state, and federal emergency management agencies, to ensure effective communication and coordination during emergencies.
Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Disaster Preparedness, Public Health, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Emergency Management Or Disaster Response, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Emergency Management Regulations And Best Practices.
Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Emergency Response Plans, Conducting Drills And Exercises, And Coordinating With External Agencies.
Strong Communication, Leadership, And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In High-Stress, Fast-Paced Situations.
