Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting: Previous Experience In A Clinical Microbiology Laboratory, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting, Is Highly Desirable. This Will Ensure Familiarity With The Specific Laboratory Equipment, Procedures, And Protocols Used In A Hospital Setting.

This Includes Knowledge Of Biosafety Cabinets, Personal Protective Equipment, And Proper Handling And Disposal Of Infectious Materials.
Familiarity With Molecular Techniques: Children's Hospital Colorado Utilizes A Variety Of Molecular Techniques For Microbial Identification And Characterization. Therefore, Experience With Polymerase Chain Reaction (Pcr), Next-Generation Sequencing, And Other Molecular Methods Is Highly Desirable.
