Job Description

At Children's Hospital Colorado, we are seeking an experienced, passionate Operational Pharmacist to join our dynamic team and make a real difference in the lives of our patients. The ideal candidate must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have a minimum of 3 years of hospital/health system experience, including experience in managing and leading people. An ideal candidate will also have experience in operationalizing clinical pharmacy services, managing drug distribution systems, and a working knowledge of regulatory requirements. Above all, the right individual should have a commitment to the mission of Children's Hospital Colorado and be passionate about delivering excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement operational strategies for clinical pharmacy services and drug distribution systems.
  2. Lead and manage staff to ensure operational goals are met.
  3. Monitor and evaluate regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
  4. Participate in the implementation of new processes and procedures.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective patient care.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and other external partners.
  7. Monitor and analyze drug utilization trends and provide appropriate interventions.
  8. Ensure accurate and timely medication ordering, storage, and distribution.
  9. Provide clinical pharmacology advice and expertise on drug therapy related issues.
  10. Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance activities.
