- Responsible for accurately and safely managing controlled substances within the hospital pharmacy.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding controlled substances.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of all controlled substance transactions.
- Work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper handling and storage of controlled substances.
- Perform regular inventory checks and audits to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of controlled substances for patient care.
- Educate and train other pharmacy staff on proper procedures for handling controlled substances.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of controlled substances management.
- Stay up-to-date on current pharmacy regulations and procedures related to controlled substances.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all privacy policies when handling controlled substances.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the hospital's policies and procedures related to controlled substances.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions related to controlled substances.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the safe and accurate management of controlled substances.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Certification As A Pharmacy Technician (Cpht)
Knowledge Of Controlled Substance Laws And Regulations
Experience Working In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting
Ability To Accurately Count And Dispense Controlled Substances According To Standard Procedures
