Phlebotomist

Welcome to Children's Hospital Colorado! We are seeking a caring and experienced individual to join our team as a Phlebotomist. In this role, you will be an integral part of our patient care team, responsible for collecting blood samples from both pediatric and adult patients. We are looking for a compassionate and motivated professional who is passionate about providing excellent patient care and has experience in phlebotomy. To be successful in this role, you must possess a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience. A valid driver’s license and current BLS certification are also required. If you are a team-oriented individual who takes pride in providing quality care to our patients, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

-Collect blood samples from pediatric and adult patients -Maintain a compassionate and respectful attitude towards patients and colleagues -Ensure patient safety and comfort during the blood collection process -Label and process blood samples accurately -Maintain patient records and ensure patient confidentiality -Ensure the lab is stocked with necessary supplies -Stay current on phlebotomy regulations, techniques, and safety protocols -Ensure all equipment is in proper working order and calibrated -Train and mentor new phlebotomists -Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
