Staff Pharmacist

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our collective team of healthcare professionals at Children's Hospital Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of pharmaceutical services to support the hospital's mission of providing comprehensive, quality care for our pediatric patients and their families.The ideal candidate for this position will be a dedicated and knowledgeable professional with a Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy. You should have a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Pharmacist, have a valid and current Colorado Pharmacist license, and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Additionally, the successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with a diverse team. Above all, you must have a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

1. Dispense medications and provide drug information to patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
2. Monitor patient drug therapies, evaluate drug interactions, and provide drug information.
3. Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
4. Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice.
5. Track and order medications as needed.
6. Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace.
7. Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy protocols and processes.
8. Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding medication therapy.
9. Actively contribute to hospital committees and initiatives.
10. Provide education and training to pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
