Job Description

Welcome to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where we are dedicated to providing the highest level of care for our young patients and their families. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Acute Care Technician to join our team and help us fulfill our mission of improving the health and well-being of children. As an Acute Care Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting our medical staff in providing excellent care to our patients in the acute care setting. We are looking for candidates who are detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and are able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and have the necessary qualifications, we would love to hear from you.

  1. Provide compassionate care to patients and their families in the acute care setting.
  2. Assist medical staff with daily tasks and procedures, such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and administering medications.
  3. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to medical staff.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  5. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients by assisting with personal care, hygiene, and mobility.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to provide updates, answer questions, and address concerns.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  8. Adhere to hospital policies and protocols to maintain a high level of patient care and safety.
  9. Participate in continuing education and training to stay up-to-date with best practices and advancements in acute care.
  10. Demonstrate a commitment to the hospital's mission and values, especially in regards to improving the health and well-being of children.

Job Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification
