
Behavioral Health Therapist
At Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will provide clinically sound psychotherapeutic interventions to children and adolescents with mental health and/or behavioral health needs. You will assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of mental health and/or behavioral health issues in order to improve the overall health and well-being of our patients.The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be passionate about providing excellent patient care, and have a clear understanding of the needs of children and adolescents with mental health and/or behavioral health issues. We are looking for someone who is excited to work in a fast-paced environment where they can make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.Required qualifications for this role include a Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, and professional licensure in the state of Pennsylvania as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Additionally, the successful candidate should have at least two years of clinical experience working with children and/or adolescents in a mental health or behavioral health setting.
Responsibilities of a Behavioral Health Therapist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP):
- Provide clinically sound psychotherapeutic interventions to children and adolescents with mental health and/or behavioral health needs.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of mental health and/or behavioral health issues.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients to improve their overall health and well-being.
- Maintain a professional and supportive relationship with patients and families.
- Keep up to date on available resources for patients and make appropriate referrals.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress.
- Participate in regular team meetings and other clinical activities.
- Adhere to all relevant ethical, legal, and professional standards.
- Remain knowledgeable of current developments in the field.
