Job Description

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is looking for an experienced and dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist - Outpatient Eating Disorders to join our team. This individual should have an understanding of the unique challenges and needs of children and adolescents with eating disorders and be committed to providing compassionate individualized care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, a master’s degree in psychology or social work, and experience working with individuals who have eating disorders. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families through evidence-based treatment and support.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide individualized, evidence-based treatment to children and adolescents with eating disorders in an outpatient setting.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans for the clients in accordance with their needs and preferences.
  3. Utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and other psychotherapeutic techniques in treatment.
  4. Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, such as physicians and psychiatrists, to ensure the best possible care for the clients.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients’ progress.
  6. Provide emotional support and guidance to clients and their families.
  7. Monitor and assess clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  8. Participate in training and continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices in the field.
  9. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  10. Utilize a trauma-informed care approach when providing services.
