Job Description

The Building Maintenance Technician at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia plays a key role in ensuring that our facility remains safe, secure, and well-maintained. We are looking for an experienced individual who has a strong working knowledge of building maintenance, as well as an enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a commitment to excellence and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and families.Qualifications:• High school diploma or GED• Minimum of three years of experience in building maintenance• Ability to work independently and in a team environment• Ability to climb ladders, carry heavy objects, and perform other physical tasks as necessary• Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform daily building maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, repairs, and general upkeep.
  2. Inspect and maintain all safety and sanitation regulations.
  3. Diagnose and repair various facility and equipment problems.
  4. Assist in the installation or replacement of various parts and components.
  5. Test fire alarms and other safety systems.
  6. Respond to emergency situations and troubleshoot problems.
  7. Maintain records and logs of all maintenance activities.
  8. Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers.
  9. Follow safety regulations and wear protective clothing when required.
  10. Monitor and replenish supplies and materials as needed.
