Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and passionate Cell Therapy Research Scientist to join our team at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). The ideal candidate will have a history of contributing to cutting-edge research and will be able to think critically and creatively to develop and implement novel approaches to cell therapy research. This individual will collaborate with a team of researchers and clinicians to further our mission to improve pediatric healthcare through excellence in patient care, groundbreaking research, and education.The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in a relevant field such as Molecular Biology, Immunology, Virology, Cell Biology, or a related field. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant research experience in cell therapy, gene therapy, or related field. This position also requires excellent teamwork skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and conduct cell therapy research to meet the team's mission.
  2. Collaborate with a team of researchers and clinicians to further our mission.
  3. Develop and implement novel approaches to cell therapy research.
  4. Maintain a thorough understanding of current literature in the field of cell therapy.
  5. Construct and execute experiments to evaluate new therapeutic strategies.
  6. Prepare reports, manuscripts, and other documents related to research.
  7. Maintain laboratory safety standards.
  8. Maintain accurate records of research conducted.
  9. Present research results to the team and other groups.
  10. Utilize excellent teamwork skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
