- Perform phlebotomy procedures on pediatric patients, following established protocols and ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Collect, label, and transport specimens accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain proper inventory and organization of supplies and equipment in the lab
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide clear instructions and address any concerns or questions
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely processing of lab samples
- Perform administrative duties such as data entry and record keeping
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies with lab results
- Participate in continuing education and training to maintain knowledge and skills in phlebotomy techniques

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Position. This Shows A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge That Is Necessary For The Role.
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) Certification: A Cpt Certification Is Required For This Position And Demonstrates Proficiency In Phlebotomy Techniques And Procedures.
Previous Phlebotomy Experience: Previous Experience In A Phlebotomy Role, Preferably In A Clinical Or Hospital Setting, Is Highly Desired. This Shows A Familiarity With The Specific Demands And Responsibilities Of The Job.
Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures And Equipment: A Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Procedures And Equipment Is Necessary For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Safety Protocols, Specimen Handling, And Basic Laboratory Testing Procedures.
