Job Description

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Dance/Movement Therapist to join our healthcare team. This individual will bring expertise and passion to our mission of providing the highest quality of care to patients and families. The successful candidate will possess the education and experience necessary to provide exceptional therapeutic care in a fast-paced, healthcare setting.The successful candidate must have a Masters degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and be a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience providing Dance/Movement Therapy to a variety of populations in a hospital setting. Additionally, the successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exceptional dance/movement therapy to a variety of patients in a hospital setting.
  2. Maintain a compassionate and dynamic approach to patient care.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  4. Utilize evidence-based practice to develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
  5. Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  6. Maintain patient records and document all activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  7. Participate in team meetings and other professional development activities.
  8. Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, patients, and families.
  9. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
