Job Description

At Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), we are looking for a Healthcare Reimbursement Financial Analyst to join our team and help us continue to provide the best possible care to our patients and families. The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong background in finance and healthcare reimbursement and be passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.The Healthcare Reimbursement Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial analysis and reimbursement support for CHOP's various programs and services. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of financial management and analysis, superior organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals.To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and have at least 5 years of relevant experience. In addition, candidates must demonstrate a thorough understanding of healthcare reimbursement systems and be comfortable working with complex data sets. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential. Experience with Epic, HealthRules, or other healthcare information systems is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide financial analysis and reimbursement support for CHOP's various programs and services.
  2. Utilize financial management and analysis to promote financial efficiency and accuracy.
  3. Collaborate with a wide range of professionals to ensure effective communication.
  4. Maintain organized records for all financial data.
  5. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, to analyze financial data.
  6. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of healthcare reimbursement systems.
  7. Work with complex data sets to ensure accurate data entry.
  8. Have experience with Epic, HealthRules, or other healthcare information systems.
  9. Monitor and update healthcare reimbursement rates.
  10. Provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency and accuracy.
